Chakra Life Force and The Energy Centers They Govern

EARTH STAR CHAKRA - (located for most people around 12 - 18 inches below your feet.)
Earth Star Chakra connects your physical body to Mother Earth. Its strong vibrations ground and protect your body with the earth.

BASE (ROOT) CHAKRA - 1st Chakra (located at the base of the spine.)
Base Chakra, or Root Chakra, governs your ambitions and sex life as well as your ability to ground yourself. The Base Chakra links your feelings with pleasure and pain. It connects you to the Earth Star Chakra and to Gaia herself. Physical areas covered by the Base Chakra are: legs, hips, lower back, uterus, vagina, bones, teeth, nails, blood and cell building.

SACRAL CHAKRA - 2nd Chakra (located at the navel)
Sacral Chakra governs your emotional and physical life. It influences your hormonal system and reproductive organs as well as your ability to emotionally birth new ideas by increasing your creativity. Physical areas covered are: reproductive organs, ovaries and testicles, kidneys.

SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA - 3rd Chakra (located just below the ribs.)
Solar Plexus Chakra governs basic health and process your 'gut feelings.' It balances your conscious and rational minds. Responsibility for others and courage are born from this chakra. Physical areas covered by the Solar Plexus Chakra are: digestive system, lower back and nervous system.

HEART CHAKRA - 4th Chakra (located at the center of the chest.)
Heart Chakra is believed to the center of love and compassion. Guides you to live life from the heart. It is the dividing line between the higher and lower chakras. Physical areas covered are: heart, lungs, chest, arms and thymus gland.

THROAT CHAKRA - 5th Chakra (located in the neck above the collarbone)
Throat Chakra is believed to the center of communication and psychic expression as well as creativity. Physical areas covered are: neck, throat, vocal cords and respiratory system.

THIRD EYE CHAKRA or BROW CHAKRA - 6th Chakra (located above the eyebrows in the center of the forehead)
Third Eye Chakra is believed to be where your inner knowledge and wisdom comes from. Helps you to understand the nonphysical truths by seeing beyond the physical realities. Physical areas covered are: higher brain centers and the pituitary gland.

CROWN CHAKRA -7th Chakra (located just beyond the top of the skull)
Crown Chakra connects you to the Soul Star Chakra and allows the flow of wisdom to enter our physical body. The Crown Chakra is known as the spirituality and enlightenment chakra. Physical areas covered by the Crown Chakra are: nervous system and spine.

SOUL STAR CHAKRA - 8th Chakra (located above the crown chakra, in most people around 6 inches above the head.)
Soul Star Chakra is believed to be where the Divine light enters your physical body and flows into the Crown Chakra. Work with the Soul Star Chakra if you wish to build your psychic gifts or if you are looking to find your spirit guides.
